HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Officials from the 66th Medical Squadron will host a town hall event at the Minuteman Commons here and virtually Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. to discuss the clinic’s migration to the Military Health System GENESIS system early next year.

The MHS GENESIS system will replace the TRICARE Online Patient Portal and is set to launch at Hanscom in January 2023, and will affect all enrolled 66 MDS beneficiaries, including dependents and retirees.

The GENESIS Patient Portal will create a standardized system of care across the entire Military Health System that users can access from installation to installation. It offers beneficiaries secure 24/7 access to their health information with the option to manage appointments, message care teams, submit prescription refills, and more.

Prior to the go-live date, all users must update their Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System, and ensure they have a DS Logon account for accessing Department of Defense applications.

Beginning one week before the go-live date, users of the TOLPP will notice appointment, prescription refill and messaging abilities will turn off as the information migrates to GENESIS.

“All the details of what will change and what beneficiaries need to do will be covered extensively in the town hall presentation,” said Mark Jenner, 66 MDS Group Practice manager.

Jenner said Hanscom health professionals will also answer questions and guide users through the necessary steps.

Personnel can watch the town hall via Facebook LIVE stream at   www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100034959435495.
