HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The 66th Force Support Squadron will host a “Summer Bash & BBQ” event at the Chapel here June 23 from 3 to 9 p.m.
The event is open to all personnel with base access, and will feature fireworks, games, dancing, pony rides, food, and more.
“Whether people attend with their coworkers or families with their children, there will be a lot of things to engage with and a great chance to have some fun,” said Andrew Lane, 66 FSS Community Programs specialist.
A free barbecue buffet will begin at 4 p.m. Other food options will be available for purchase from food trucks and other snack vendors.
Additionally, a vendor’s market will feature goods from more than 20 local artists, crafters, and private organizations.
“If there’s one summer party people should plan to attend this year, it should be this one,” said Alysha Brandy, 66 FSS Community Programs chief. “This is the largest event we throw all year, and there will be something for everyone.”
Lane said the 66 FSS is always looking for ways to connect people, and that Hanscom AFB personnel should consider utilizing the trusted traveler policy to share the experience.
“Events like these are a great opportunity to welcome others into our community,” he said. “Bring your parents, your closest friends, and show them what life is like on our installation.
The event will end with a firework display.
