HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The Military and Family Readiness Center here recently debuted a new logo to better represent its new mission and vision statements.

The M&FRC’s mission is to “equip military members and their families to adapt and overcome the unique demands of military life through programs, support and services.” The vision statement is to be a “trusted guide and partner in staying mission ready and navigating military life.”

The rebranding comes nearly a year after Department of the Air Force officials changed the agency’s name to align with supporting Airmen and Space Force Guardians, as well as sister services in the area.

The new logo is fashioned out of varying shades of blue, white, and gold.

According to the DAF, the lighter blue signifies the brilliant sky above the earth in which Air Force planes fly, while the darker and deeper blue embodies the open skies of space where Guardians operate.

“The gold-colored ribbon is reminiscent of the M&FRC’s ‘gold standard,’ for both the service and effort put forth by our team toward building ready, resilient Airmen, Guardians, and families,” said Beth Campbell, Hanscom AFB’s M&FRC flight chief.

The logo also represents the M&FRC’s commitment to:

  • Provide military members and their families with tools and resources to become self-sufficient and resilient.
  • Guide members and families as they navigate their military careers together and strive for success.
  • Empower a ready and resilient force across the Department of the Air Force.

The word “center” was removed from the logo, which Campbell explains was intentional.

“We’ve restructured a lot of our services to be virtual so we can better accommodate our geographically separated units and remote workers,” she said. “We’re no longer bound by our four walls.”

Services the M&FRC provides include deployment readiness, Exceptional Family Member Program and employment and transition assistance, financial readiness, relocation assistance, casualty assistance and survivor benefit planning, and the personal and family work life program.

Classes and programs are available to all those with base access.
