Senior NCO Induction Ceremony to take place Nov. 3

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The 66th Air Base Group will host a Senior NCO Induction Ceremony Nov. 3 here to recognize technical sergeants selected for promotion to master sergeant in the spring.

The event is the culmination of a four-day class inductees participate in, called the Senior NCO Foundations Course.

“Join us in this milestone event as these dedicated technical sergeants will ascend to the senior NCO corps,” said Master Sgt. Lesli Pape, event co-organizer. “Their journey embodies the spirit of commitment and excellence.”

Retired Brig. Gen. Enoch Woodhouse, one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, is the scheduled guest speaker. 

“We are privileged to welcome Brigadier General Woodhouse as our guest speaker,” said Master Sgt. Mary McCurdy, event co-organizer. “His remarkable journey and unwavering dedication will not only enrich our ceremony but will instill in us the values of courage, perseverance and leadership.”

Inductees are from Hanscom AFB and geographically separated units throughout the region.

A catered meal consisting of chicken parmesan, pasta, garden salad, eggplant rollatini, roasted vegetables, bread and cake will be served. The cost is $50 per person. Those interested in attending can pay via cash, check or Venmo.

The event kicks off with a social at 5:30 p.m. and the formal ceremony beginning at 6:30 p.m. Attire for the evening is mess dress or semi-formal for military and business or semi-formal for civilians.
