AFLCMC hosts Focus Week Jan. 22-26

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is hosting a Focus Week Jan. 22-26.

Focus Week is a quarterly opportunity for personnel to complete mandatory and discretionary leadership and acquisition training, along with the potential to earn continuous learning points.

Over 130 courses will be offered this session ranging from career and functional area-specific training and coaching to personal development classes. Most courses are delivered by AFLCMC experts who provide direct knowledge of current systems and programs.

“Focus Week is a great opportunity to learn new skills and earn continuous learning points,” said Jason Sibrel, AFLCMC Focus Week program manager. “I highly encourage people to sign up as soon as possible.”

There is a new course being offered this session called LaunchPad Essentials: Navigating Tools for Seamless Collaboration. This class is designed to equip participants with the essential skills to navigate LaunchPad, access Cameo, efficiently save files in TeamWork Cloud, and transfer files in and out of LaunchPad.

For those seeking to gain an understanding of Agile practices, the course Agile Foundations is being offered to help individuals and teams with the skills, insights, and tools needed to seamlessly integrate Agile and scrum practices.

In How to Navigate Air Force Contracting Central, attendees will learn how using Air Force Contracting Central as your go-to source for all things contracting-related can help you work smarter and faster. Join the Air Force Contracting Central Knowledge Management team as they provide a live demo on how to use Air Force Contracting Central as a central hub to research acquisition topics, gather contracting tools and templates, and connect with subject matter experts.

Attendance is open to military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Contractors must request approval from their government point of contact to ensure participation is in accordance with the training requirements outlined in their contract prior to enrolling in Focus Week courses.
