Base to begin new shuttle service May 18 Published May 5, 2009 By Rhonda Siciliano 66th Air Base Wing Public Affairs HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- A new shuttle service will begin operations May 18, to transport employees between offices and work areas on base. "This new service will provide employees with a convenient way to get around Hanscom without having to spend time searching for parking," said James Taggart, 66th Logistics Readiness Squadron director. The shuttle will operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shuttle will have eight stops on its route: Stop 1 - Building 1614 Stop 2 - Building 1606, Electronic Systems Center Headquarters Stop 3 - Building 1900, Base Clinic Stop 4 - Building 1600 Stop 5 - Fitness Center Stop 6 - Building 1105, Hanscom Conference Center Stop 7 - Building 1305, 66th Air Base Wing Headquarters Stop 8 - Base Lodging The shuttle bus will be a 16 passenger vehicle from the Vehicle Operations Section of the 66th Logistics Readiness Squadron. "The route will service offices and work centers only," Mr. Taggart said. "We hope employees will take advantage of this convenient transportation option whenever they have business they need to accomplish at another facility on base." Mr. Taggart said that the shuttle is not authorized to transport employees to base housing areas or any recreational or shopping areas on the base.
