Hanscom to host 29th annual Retiree Day April 25 Published April 6, 2009 By Rhonda Siciliano 66th Air Base Wing Public Affairs HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- The Hanscom AFB Retiree Activities Office invites military retirees and their spouses to attend its 29th Annual Military Retiree Day on April 25. The event will be held at the Minuteman Club with an Information Services Session from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Military retirees from all ranks and services are invited to attend. The Information Services session will provide retirees an opportunity to browse the 30 information tables staffed by representatives of both on and off base agencies and organizations. Those on hand will include the 66th Medical Group, TRICARE, Hanscom Legal Office, US Family Health Plan, services for recreation opportunities, social security, the Veterans Administration and veteran service agencies. The Retiree Day Luncheon will begin at 11:45 a.m. with a brief opening ceremony. Capt. Arline Love, Retiree Activities Office, director will provide an update on recent issues and concerns of interest to retirees. Col. Dave Orr, 66th Air Base Wing Commander will be the guest speaker for the luncheon and will give an overview and update on Hanscom AFB and the future. The cost of the luncheon is $18.00. The choice of meals is baked scrod or sliced roast beef with gravy. Tickets will not be sent. Check-in is at the Club door. Paid reservations must be made by April 22 to the Retiree Activities Office, reserve early as space is limited.
