HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Officials have recently completed installation of two digital signs near the Sartain and Ruiz Gates for sharing key information about events happening here.
The dual-sided displays, each measuring 6 feet by 10 feet, are strategically positioned for incoming and outgoing traffic, ensuring information reaches all.
“The digital signs are a significant step forward in our efforts to bolster communication and foster social cohesion across Team Hanscom,” said Col. Taona Enriquez, installation commander. “They support our mission by ensuring that critical information is effectively disseminated to everyone on base, enhancing our overall preparedness and community engagement.”
The versatility of the outdoor displays allows Public Affairs officials to update messages in real time, ensuring that base personnel receive the most current information.
“These displays offer yet another opportunity to unify our base community by encouraging engagement,” said Russ Kelly, Public Affairs chief. “Whether they’re used to promote events, celebrate achievements, or to simply issue a weather warning, these signs will be a welcome addition to our messaging toolbox.”
The addition of these digital displays supports the broader goals of Air Force Materiel Command’s strategic plan, particularly in strengthening the team and amplifying the warfighting culture.
By enhancing the flow of information, officials say the signs contribute to a more cohesive and resilient base environment, where every member is connected to the mission.
In 2023, PA officials installed six 55-inch kiosks in high-traffic locations on base to enhance communication and reach a broader audience.
