Four logisticians here received awards during the 13th annual Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Logistics Functional Awards ceremony April 8.

The ceremony was livestreamed from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, where teams and individuals were nominated for flying and non-flying awards for advancing Air Force lethality.

“The achievement of our logisticians continues to reach new levels of success,” Kim Brown, AFLCMC director of logistics and logistics services. “You’re the professionals responsible for the entire life cycle. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed.”

The Hanscom winners included one individual from Cyber & Networks Directorate and three from Electronic Systems Directorate. They were:

Acquisition/Business System Category II (delegated) and A/BCAT III (Non-Fly) Civilian Tier I:

Shelby Lusteck, Cyber & Networks, for authoring the five-year life cycle sustainment plan for an Air Force defensive cyber weapon system, supporting mission readiness.

A/BCAT II (delegated) and A/BCAT III (Non-Fly) Civilian Tier III:
Johnathan Willey, Electronic Systems, for delivering logistics leadership across modernization and sustainment efforts. Willey resolved 500 technical order comments with active, Guard and original equipment manufacturer partners.

Software Acquisition Program Civilian Tier I:

Nicholas Granger, Electronic Systems, for directly supporting four mission-critical weather software factories and influencing nearly $5 million in strategic investments. Granger analyzed a legacy weather system, guiding a seamless transition to a virtual private cloud environment supporting enterprise modernization.

Software Acquisition Program Civilian Tier II:

Thomas Kelly, Electronic Systems, for directing obsolescence mitigation strategies for 358 commercial defense software products supporting more than 38,000 users.

Representing Team Hanscom this year were 14 finalists across 10 out of 54 categories.

“Whether you win or are nominated, it takes a lot to get here,” said Stephen LaFleur, logistics organizational senior functional for Cyber & Networks Directorate. “It is all well deserved.”
