HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass -- The 66th Force Support Squadron will host Summer Bash at the base chapel here June 18 from 3 to 8 p.m.
The free annual community event is open to all with base access.
“It's a way to kick off the summer and to celebrate as a community,” said Master Sgt. Jesse Audet, project officer for Summer Bash.
Base residents are encouraged to walk or bike to the event.
“There will be games and activities for all ages,” said Audet. “We will have bounce houses, train and pony rides, mini golf, golf lessons for kids and arts and crafts.”
A live band will provide entertainment.
Attendees can enjoy free barbecue, cold drinks and Italian Ice while supplies last.
Additional food will be available for purchase. and adult beverages will be sold by The Tavern.
Organizers are seeking volunteers to help make the event successful. Volunteers will receive a T-shirt. Those interested in volunteering should contact Audet for more information.
In case of inclement weather, Summer Bash will be postponed to June 26.
