USAF Academy admissions hosts Boston outreach event Published March 25, 2014 UNITED STATES AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Air Force Academy Admissions is slated to host an outreach in Boston April 4-5 in an effort to engage community educators, students, and community-based organizations and introduce them to opportunities at the Academy. "The U.S. Air Force Academy outreach is a focused approach to provide education, awareness about the Air Force Academy and the admissions process and create relationships with influencers, specifically to areas with limited exposure to our institution," said Col. Carolyn Benyshek, director of Admissions. "Within these particular areas, the admissions team will visit high schools, community based organizations, and students [via scheduled one-on-one visits], who may have limited information on the United States Air Force Academy." Admissions will hold an Influencer workshop April 4 for community leaders, student advocates, and educators at the Boston Public Library in the Rabb Lecture Hall. "Community based organizations, school counselors, and influencers can expect a wealth of information to help them educate and guide their students through the application process," Benyshek said. The forum, which is an event open to students and parents, will be held April 5 at the same location. "Admissions personnel will meet directly with interested students and provide a first-hand look at all the Air Force Academy offers," she said.
