Hanscom readies emergency response
HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Emergency responders prepare for the possible arrival of an Air Force C-5B, which had lost pressurization over the Atlantic Ocean at approximately 11 a.m. Feb. 8. Alerted that the aircraft might be diverted to the base, Hanscom officials quickly mobilized a full emergency response effort. The plane was ultimately routed to Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, Mass., where it landed without incident shortly after 2 p.m. The flight originated at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and had been headed for Dover AFB, Del.
