Middle school students selected for choir festival
HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – (left to right) Taylor Campbell, Emily McSwain, Katelyn Miller, Julianna Byington and Rebecca McIllece practice singing during a recent rehearsal at Hanscom Middle School. The five students were selected to participate in the Massachusetts Music Educators Association Eastern District Junior Festival on March 8 and 9. During auditions in January, 1,026 students from eastern Massachusetts performed. Of those, 476 were chosen for the festival. Byington and Campbell will sing with the Treble Chorus and McIllece, McSwain and Miller will sing with the Mixed Chorus. (Courtesy photo)
