Two Hanscom Airmen died Oct. 2 when a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft crashed shortly after take-off from Jalalabad Airfield, Afghanistan, killing eleven people.

Retired Maj. Gen. Chris T. Anzalone passed away Sept. 27, 2015, after a short illness. Anzalone served as commander of the 66th Air Base Wing at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, from August 1998 until May 2000. During his tenure as commander here, the 66 ABW was responsible for providing base, regional and readiness support to the Electronic Systems Center, Air Force Research Laboratory and Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory.
