Groundbreaking

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – (From left to right) U.S. Congressman John Tierney; U.S. Congresswoman Katherine Clark; Col. Lester Weilacher, 66th Air Base Group commander; Col. Charles Samaris, Army Corps of Engineers New England District commander; Jennifer Glass, Lincoln School Committee chair; Jonathan Braley, J&J Contractors president; Doctor Rebecca Mcfall, Lincoln Public Schools superintendent and Erich Ledebuhr, Hanscom Middle School principal, break ground on the site of Hanscom's new $34 million middle school on June 16. The new school is expected to include both indoor and outdoor learning areas, a science technology engineering (art) math-enabled classroom and an integrated building system, which will house solar panels and rainwater harvesting that can be used for teaching.
