PAVE PAWS radar
The PAVE Phased Array Warning System radar site at Beale Air Force Base, Calif., recently underwent a security system upgrade. The Force Protection Division, a Battle Management team from Hanscom AFB, Mass., installed the latest intrusion detection technology to help safeguard the radar. PAVE PAWS has the capability to detect and track sea-launched and intercontinental ballistic missiles as well as earth-orbiting satellites. (U.S. Air Force courtesy photo)
