Connecting for homeland defense
Two F-16C Fighting Falcons from the 115th Fighter Wing, Wisconsin Air National Guard, fly a routine training mission in the skies over Wisconsin in 2008. A program office at Hanscom AFB, Mass., recently completed fielding of a system that will provide tactical data link messaging between aircraft such as these and continental United States air defense sectors to improve homeland defense.
