Developmental special duties broaden experience
Master Sgt. Nicholas Souza, first sergeant, shares his experience with Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets during a mentoring session in 2015 in Cambridge, Mass. The Air Force has identified 10 DSDs for spring 2017 that create, develop and care for Airmen. Airmen nominated for developmental special duties must have a demonstrated record of exceptional performance and a high capacity to lead due to their unique leadership roles and the responsibility to mentor and mold young Airmen.
