C-130 “Hulk” demolished after 40 years at Hanscom

After nearly four decades of hosting a C-130 trainer, this flight line space lies empty following removal of the airframe from Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., Sept. 17. Earlier this week, the 66th Logistic Readiness Squadron oversaw the demolition of the more than 94-foot airframe that had served as a platform for the former 57th and 85th Aerial Port Squadrons cargo loading and offloading training from 1982-2009 and lain vacant since.
