  • Delays expected during Vandenberg Drive repaving, Sartain Gate closure

    The 66th Civil Engineering Division will oversee a full-scale repaving of Vandenberg Drive here April 25 through 30. According to base engineers, the project will be completed in three phases and include a gate closure. Base personnel can expect detours and delays throughout the construction period.

  • Cogeneration plant supplements power to Hanscom missions

    Hanscom civil engineers completed construction of a 4.6-megawatt cogeneration plant here earlier this year. Engineering officials say the plant not only increases the installation’s energy resilience, but will deliver $94 million in savings over the life of the contract.

  • Hanscom Arbor Day observance held

    Base officials held a proclamation signing and tree planting ceremony here April 29 in recognition of National Arbor Day. During the event, members of the 66th Civil Engineering Division planted two pear trees along the walkway west of Memorial Park near the base clinic.
