  • Hanscom mission planning team supports JADC2 through agile software development

    In an effort to facilitate Joint All-Domain Command and Control, a team at Hanscom recently demonstrated a new agile cloud-based aircraft mission planning application. JOMS Core Mission Planning, or JOMS CMP, is an aircraft transit planning software that leverages CloudOne to identify users and shape the mission planning environment for that individual planner.
  • Test workshop brings focus to C4I testing

    In an effort to inform Hanscom-area acquisition professionals about test efforts and capabilities, the 96th Cyberspace Test Group, Detachment 1, located here, will host a virtual test workshop June 8 at 1 p.m. The event is part of a quarterly series of workshops offered by the detachment, each with a different theme. This quarter’s theme is Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence systems testing. 
  • Hanscom team awards contract for up to six aircraft

    A Hanscom team awarded a $464.8 million contract to Learjet, Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of the Specialized Aircraft Division of Bombardier Inc., on June 1 in support of the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node program, headquartered here. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity agreement provides funds for up to six Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft with a five-year delivery period.

    A team in the Digital Directorate here recently improved warfighter readiness by using the first Deployable Instrument Landing System at an airfield outside the United States.
