HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Airmen, civilians and contractors here are invited to participate in a virtual professional development event March 5 hosted by retired Chief Master Sgt. Juan Lewis.

Lewis, also known by his Facebook moniker, ’The Fired up Chief,’ will share a message of resilience, pride, enthusiasm and passion.

“Chief Lewis’s message couldn’t be timelier,” said Chief Master Sgt. Bill Hebb, installation command chief, who has attended other events hosted by Lewis. “He is a very dynamic speaker and I guarantee participants will leave with something worth taking away.”

Recently, Lewis has shared a personal and pertinent outlook on resiliency. In November 2020, the retired chief shared his near-fatal COVID-19 diagnosis with Airmen from Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Lewis currently serves as an Air Force civilian at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph in Texas.

“It’s going to be a very motivational event, and I believe all of our CEOs [civilians, enlisted and officers] will benefit from attending,” said Hebb.
