HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Base officials invite members of the 66th Air Base Group to present ideas to the Warhawk Innovation Council during a pitch day here May 19.

Civilians, enlisted and officers will bring ideas to ABG senior leaders for use of squadron innovation funds to improve a workplace, process, unit or the installation as a whole.

Innovation proposals for the second annual event must be submitted to 66FSS.FSM.SparkRevolution@us.af.mil no later than May 13.

“This is a great opportunity to skip the bureaucratic lines and bring ideas and solutions directly to decision makers,” said Darrell Bishop, 66th Force Support Squadron chief venture officer and Hanscom Spark Cell representative.

Bishop said he and fellow 66 FSS Spark Cell representative Matt West will serve as a sounding board for submissions.

“We’re here to help people workshop and refine their ideas before they get in front of the panel,” said Bishop.

Senior leaders are encouraging ABG personnel at all levels to submit ideas for consideration.

Funding was approved in 2021 for StressVest kits used to enhance 66th Security Forces Squadron training, as well as an EZ Child ID system that can assist law enforcement in locating missing persons.

“The success we had last year showed how important it was to allow our workforce to bring unfiltered ideas to the table,” said Chief Master Sgt. William Hebb, 66 ABG command chief. “Our CEOs bring a fresh perspective, and can provide innovative ways of solving problems without barriers.”

For additional information, or to submit a proposal, email the address above by May 13.
