ABG leadership changes scheduled July 9 and 10 in Aero Club Hangar

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Members of the workforce are invited to attend a change of command ceremony at which Col. Taona Enriquez will relinquish command of the 66th Air Base Group to Col. Jorge Jimenez July 10 at 9 a.m. in the Aero Club Hangar.

Lt. Gen. Donna Shipton, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center commander, will preside over the ceremony.

Jimenez most recently served as Headquarters U.S. Indo-Pacific Command comptroller at Camp Smith, Hawaii. In this position, he leads a division providing fiscal oversight and financial management support to the INDOPACOM Headquarters mission.

Among numerous other assignments, Jimenez also served as the Financial Analysis Division chief for Air Education and Training Command at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph in Texas, and director of Resource Management for the White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington D.C.

Enriquez, who also served as installation commander, will retire after more than 23 years of service in the U.S. Air Force.

Additionally, the workforce is invited to a change of responsibility ceremony July 9 at 3 p.m. in which Chief Master Sgt. Alan Weary will relinquish his duties as command chief of the 66th Air Base Group and installation to Chief Master Sgt. Jason Vollmer.

Vollmer most recently served as the senior enlisted leader for the 350th Spectrum Warfare Group at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. His career has spanned various roles, including positions as a military training instructor at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and several assignments as a first sergeant.

Weary will retire after more than 25 years of service in the U.S. Air Force.

Attendees must be in place by 8:45 a.m. for the change of command ceremony and by 2:45 p.m. for the change of responsibility ceremony.

Dress will be uniform of the day for military members.
