HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Col. Taona Enriquez, 66th Air Base Group and installation commander, and Command Chief Master Sgt. Alan Weary, installation command chief, introduced a new strategic plan for the 66th Air Base Group.

The plan was officially introduced to members of the workforce during a 66th Air Base Group commander's call in January.

“While previous iterations of the plan have served us well, we need to adapt, as the entire Air Force is, to changes in the strategic environment,” said Enriquez, in a video to the workforce.

Under this new plan, the Hanscom leaders updated the group’s mission, vision and four lines of effort.

66th Air Base Group Mission

Provide enduring installation support to our community and mission partners – Without Exception!

66th Air Base Group Vision

Advance installation capabilities while evolving to meet the challenges of operating in an integrated and dynamic environment.

66th Air Base Group Lines of Effort

  • LOE 1: Bolster Management of Resources
  • LOE 2: Build Better Airmen
  • LOE 3: Strengthen Installation Services
  • LOE 4: Enhance Mission Execution and Readiness

Each line of effort has an assigned champion and strategic lead to implement initiatives.

“This roadmap is not possible without every member of the 66th Air Base Group,” said Weary. “This is not a top-down approach, but a meet in the middle. It will take all of you to help make this plan a success, and everyone will have a role.”

The 66th Air Base Group plan aligns with Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and Air Force Materiel Command Strategic Plans, both of which align to the seven Department of the Air Force Operational Imperatives.

Officials will share the Hanscom Roadmap across available platforms over the coming days to promote awareness of the plan. Professional signage, social media posts, videos and articles will be shared across the installation.

“Whether you're a new employee to Hanscom Air Force Base and the 66th Air Base Group or you've been here for many years, I'm relying on all of you to help us carry out this strategic plan,” said Enriquez. “We will set a clear path to achieving our goals and provide clear communication throughout as we work together to achieve success.”
